Children dressed in hard hats and equipped with tool belts will be building a house this school holidays at The Rocks (Sydney, Australia).

They will wire lights into the “Environment Wall”, shingle a roof unit and brick up the house.

An initiative of Children’s Discovery Museum Limited and supported by a range of sponsors, Build It! will use child-safe materials to simulate real building products so that children can co-operatively design, plan and construct a residential home. 

Have a go on the 'Environment Wall' where kids wire up the solar-powered light and hot-water systems using the ICP Solar Panel.

Shingles can also now be placed onto the new 'Roof' section.

Build It! will be a fantastic opportunity for kids to get out of their lounge room during school holidays and actively participate in something that is both educational and fun.

Build It! helps develop logic, co-operation, design and planning.
